Vessel is the investigation of the body as a vehicle for human life. The body is a bewildering structure, so resilient yet so venerable and is too often taken for granted. Rarely do we think about what’s beneath our skin, pumping organs, flowing bloodstreams, vibrating cells that keep us alive

Vessel is the investigation of the body as a vessel for human life. The body an amazing structure, so resilient yet so venerable. We take for granted the strength and fragility of our bodies. Rarely do we think about our bodies, pumping organs, flowing bloodstreams, vibrating cells that keep us alive. Rather we think about trivial issues; problems at work, a fight with a loved one, what to have for dinner etc. Mindfulness and body awareness are techniques practiced to free the mind of these trivial issues and be present with what we are; living, breathing bodies. This work will draw attention to the body, to make the audience aware of their skin, flesh, organs and bones.

In a mobile truck Vessel combines Barnett’s pulsating projection video art together with Korinsky’s haunting soundscape. Meneghetti and Barnett will be performing live drawing the audience to consider their own bodies in the performance space.
